WARNING: Always use caution when venturing on ice. This article of clothing is not a life saving device. The Ice Runner Float Suit offers buoyancy in case of broken ice. However, the Float Suit is not a “personal flotation device”. The Ice Runner Float Suit can make it easier for the wearer to get out of the water in an emergency. Ice anglers are cautioned to never fish alone. Mandatory safety equipment for your group should include a throwing rope plus emergency ice picks for each angler. The Float Suit is not designed to keep you warm once it gets wet.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020 Ice Runner Flotation Fishing Suit Review

By: Eddie Stein, President – www.flyfishtraveler.com

Although I have not yet found a way to fly fish through the ice, I have found a very affordable way to keep warm and safe doing traditional ice fishing, namely, the new 2020 Ice Runner Flotation Fishing Suit.  I have used the prior model of Ice Runner’s Flotation Fishing Suit and although very good, their latest improved model is awesome.  I, as well as other outdoors persons who, due to cabin fever and other similar maladies, need to be outside in extreme cold and windy conditions, have told Ice Runner what they might do to improve their suits and, apparently, they listened to us.  Being ice anglers themselves, they made sure to incorporate all the suggested features that made sense.  The new suits offer warmth, safety and comfort; they are waterproof and breathable; they are flexible and lightweight enough to be used while fishing out of a boat when one encounters cold and rainy conditions such as one might find fishing in Canada or the Arctic.  Both the jacket and the bib have an outer zippered pocket placed perfectly for keeping your cell phone handy as well as several other strategically placed zippered pockets to place needed gear and even warm your hands.  The bibs have the extra padding one needs in order to comfortably kneel down on the ice or in a boat.  A big thing they added, in order to keep the bib’s shoulder straps in place, is a chest strap.  The new suits also have added a D-ring which is necessary to hang certain accessories, a full front zipper with a neck guard on the jacket, an adjustable and removable drawstring hood, reflective 360-degree trim, and thigh-height side zippers on the legs so one can take the bibs on and off without removing one’s boots.  Another great feature are the inner cuffs on both the jackets and the bibs which seal out dampness and cold.  Other way more expensive suits do not have all of the features of the new 2020 Ice Runner Suit.  I give this suit a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it to all ice fisherpersons and other outdoors people – it has everything except Showtime and HBO.

    Ice Runner float suit

Posted by Brett Widenhouse on Jan 8th 2021

I started thinking about getting a float suit while watching a crappie fishing video. The guide had on one he like and recommended.
That got me thinking about how much clothing i actually wear on my boat plus my USMC boots plus my age, 61.
Decided to look into the idea of a float suit. Honestly, I'd never heard of it before.
Anyway, i wrote it off as most everything was $300.
I happened upon this Ice Runner floating suit. Read the reviews and took a chance at $200.
    Well, I am impressed!
It's lightweight. Seems tough enough. It's got snaps, zippers and velcro in all the right places.
Needless to say, i really like it.
I think it would really help if i fall in the lake, or i hit a big log or someone runs in me, heaven forbid.

Great product for a great price

I have had the suit out a few times, but yesterday was the first all-day trip to the back Waters of the Mississippi and the suit performed flawlessly. I stayed warm and dry while hole hopping all day. Highly recommend this product!

    Quality Features, Unbeatable Price

    Posted by Paul_the_Pike on Dec 23rd 2019

Great quality for the price. The fabric has a durable feel without being too stiff and so far is living up to the waterproof rating. The inner cuffs were a surprisingly nice feature- they are a neoprene type fabric and really seal out the cold and wet. It's keeping me warm and the added safety is a bonus. Looking forward to seeing what else IceRunner comes out with in the future.
